Sunshine and clouds will share the sky. High near 45F. Winds N at 5 to 10 mph.
well, that's today's forecast. i thought the 'share the sky' was very poetic...
platter du jour is altan's 'runaway sunday'. i love the songs and the jigs, but i'm not so keen on the reels and strasthspeys....too fast! jigs are perfect for my dancing feet, though reels can be good for waking me up in the morning which is when i often put on some music to shake the sleepwebs off.
'time has passed' is so beautiful and sad sometimes it makes me cry.
'time has past
you have gone
your tune is played
i must carry on'
my favorite bunch of jigs on this is called 'ciaran's capers'.
there's a beautiful version of robert burns' 'i wish my love was a red red rose' that mairead ni mhaonaigh sings with alison krauss, and a very favorite song is 'sui ghorm'.
'your smile shines through the morning mist, lifts the soul light as a feather'...it's an innocent sweet bouncy tune. it's sung in english and irish though the chorus is just in irish and isn't translated.
i know ghorm is blue, glas is green, and dearg (d pronounced like a j) is red.
my knowledge is impressive,no?
