link to hilarity surrounded by qualuudial prose

when i woke up this morning i thought it would be a good idea to go out and get some exercise today...go for at least a bit of a walk. it looked like it was somewhat bright out and i thought it might be fairly mild today. if i don't get some exercise,my legs will hurt when i go back to work. which also made me think of how much exercise i get at work...which is an excellent thing...and of how if i got a better paying job to solve my dilemma,i wouldn't have that benefit. and my circulation is crappy, and i'm not that old,so it makes a difference.

well, when i got out of the shower,it had started to snow. oh. didnt know we were going to have snow today, but okay. sometimes it's fun to walk in the snow.

well,i've been busy procrastinating all afternoon. that took me until a little after four. i decided it was almost time for that walk,as it would be getting dark in a while, and it's much warmer in daylight. but first i was poking around and i found this which is incredibly hilarious. it takes a bit of time to load but it's worth it. it's also a long long page. i think it took me twenty minutes to read.

then i finally went out for my walk. i'd say we've gotten a couple of inches and it's still falling. hopefully it'll stop soon so the snowplow guy can clean up...i guess i'll wait to go to the store when he shows up,since there's always a problem of where to put our cars while he's plowing. i walked a little ways and there are these great honkin snowflakes coming down. very pretty. (i'll save some for you, [livejournal.com profile] sunfighter31) i walked a way and then realized that with this much snow it's hard to tell if there's ice underneath and i really didn't want to take a spill. i have enough spontaneous aches and pains,so i don't need the opportunity for more. so i decided to turn around and head back home. i was almost back to the front door of the building i live in when guess what? i slipped on some ice beneath the snow that i couldn't see and landed on my ass. luckily, there's padding there, plus i fell in the graceful way one accustomed to being klutzy(klutz...is that a yiddish word?) falls. so i got wet but i didn't hurt anything but my ego. you know, you feel like an idjit when you tip over like that.

so i didn't get much exercise. my leg muscles seem to get out of shape so quickly. on sunday i'm supposed to drop off my car at the garage so i can get my oil changed first thing in the a.m.,around 8. if i drop off my car,i don't have to interrupt my night's sleep.i used to have mom pick me up in her car but now i can't do that. so i need to walk home. it's not REALLY a big deal. it's about a mile and i used to walk 2 and a half miles to work i n a blizzard every day when i lived in the city. and fortunately on the trip BACK from the garage, the west is at my back, which is where the wind usually comes from,so i won't have cold wind in my face.(though the weather forecast is for really cold and high wind chills,so it's not going to be a pleasant day to be outside.) and i know the next day my legs will hurt. that's what happened last time i walked to the garage. sometimes i think my body is such a wreck. but i know a lot of folks my age and younger who get less exercise than i do so at least i get that.
