nostalgia for winter(not)

i was cleaning out my email 'sent' box and this sentiment was in an email to my sister michele on january 26:

i'm enjoying the heck out of winter. ha ha ha.

i crack myself up.

fuck,it's looking gloomy outside. but i was lucky because it was absolutely gorgeous out today when i met my sisters rachel and sara at sara's apartment in manchester and we all went to visit our demented mom together.

i'm not being disrespectful of my mother. she really is demented. and i can be matter-of-fact about it and obviously i joke about it but i cry a lot when i think about my mom from time to time. i've already lost her and she's still alive.

it's sad but at least she seems happy when we visit her but she doesn't understand we can't take her home with us. in fact,if we take her out anywhere (as i made the mistake of doing a couple of weeks ago) she refuses to go back to the nursing home and it's a really bad scene. doesn't make us feel good but she needs 24 hour care and we can't give that to her.
anyway,it went pretty well.

i enjoyed hanging out with my sisters and sara's cat sunny,who is shedding like crazy.

and now i may do something productive.
