a couple of quotes from florence scovel shinn:
We cannot always control our thoughts, but we can control our words, and repetition impresses the subconscious, and we are then master of the situation.
Giving opens the way for receiving.

readiness to hurt people subtle when i have a lot of energy and feel very spontaneoulsy, but when i am depressed hurting remarks stay unspoken...
when i have a lot of energy, i have to decide which way i want to go, i have to decide if i want the hurting offer by my quick mind verbalize or not, the mind is quick, and when i am not aware and don't want to feel responsibel, i go the way of hurting which can be very pleasurable...

why do you think it feels good to say those things?
it sounds like you believe that you are really bad when you are yourself, which i do not believe. i agree with the buddhists that we are good at heart, and that when we act badly,it is because WE are hurting.
it sounds to me like maybe you enjoy hurting other people because in a round-about way you are hurting yourself by hurting other people, and you feel you deserve to be hurt.
and that happens when you are feeling badly, even with energy. so many times you try not to say those things, but sometimes you fail to hold that anger back. and then you get more angry at yourself, and it goes round and round...
i think you said you have worked in many jobs where you help people...do you forget all the times that you help people?
and do you think maybe you have chosen those jobs because you have a kind heart? i think maybe so.
i see a kind heart in you. but often it is easier for others to see the good in ourselves...i understand that.
that is what i see.
