i listened to my beatles 'past masters vol. 2' cd today. 'the inner light''s lyrics sound pretty much like one of the chapters of the tao te ching. the lyrics are here. pretty cool.

i've come to the conclusion that i don't like arugula. too tangy tasting. i like my greens a little more subtle.

ah,it's such a glorious day. another,i should say. yesterday was great too. i don't know the exact temp, but probably high seventies and a gorgeous breeze. i'm totally in love with the wind during spring and even more in the summer. another day of beautiful fresh air.

do you hear me?
that when it rains and shines
it's just a state of mind
can you hear me?
can you hear me?

"rain" is my favorite Beatles song...even more so than "tomorrow never knows" or "long, long, long" or "while my guitar gently weeps" or "because" (which round out the top 5). I can't understand why they never put it on an album, but at least the Past Masters set returned it to the world where it belongs. something about that song just gives me chills.

my dad was sad they didn't release that old US vinyl "meet the beatles" on CD because that was his first Fab Four album and he's very fond of it. so fond, in fact, that it doesn't play any more, it's all scratched up and the voices waver around. hehehe. long live LPs!
