in defense of the realm

i don't know why,but i get really annoyed when someone parks in my parking spot. i live in a condo, and we each have two parking spots. i rarely use the one in the back, because it's often puddled or icy. anyway,i got home from my short jaunt to get some food and....how dare they! i gave the suv the evil eye but it didn't budge. so i reached into my bag of tricks and wrote a note in purple ink. actually,i just use the purple ink pen a lot,so there's nothing too arcane about it.
i left the stinging note, saying 'this is a reserved spot. please don't park here. thanks!' on their windshield. i gave the suv another dirty look and walked away. i'm so territorial.

at least i didn't pee on it.

stupid SUVs...

I left a similar note on a car once, and I made the mistake of putting my apartment number on it. Half an hour later a frazzled young mom, with toddler in tow, knocked on my door to apologize for parking in my spot, but she originally thought she'd only be a minute visiting her grandma who was dying of cancer. It was an awkward moment for me, to say the least.

Another time, a friend of mine was visiting and she parked in another person's spot, and this jerk had her towed. She cried when she discovered that she had to pay $100 to get her car back. (My wife and I decided to pay half of her fine.) The very next day this friend, who was a typically struggling new college grad, won $12 million in the Maryland Lotto.

Should have peed on the car. And, then peed in a cup and poured it in the carpet in the back. Just think how crazy they would go trying to figure out where the smell was coming from.

Of course, I think I'm a whole lot meaner than you are. *cough*

SUVs are evil by nature. SUVs in your parking spot are even more evil.

I would have had to resist the urge to key the car doors, myself. pee is just too messy, unless you're blessed with certain male extremities. ;)
