just exactly who is crazy?
i stayed up late last night watching 'harvey'. suffice to say i woke up this morning in a good mood.
thanks again to
sariane for suggesting this movie and reminding me of its existence. i'd seen it once before, knew i liked it,but had forgotten much of the story. it's good for thought regarding what exactly is considered sanity.
i like how the psychiatrist keeps going back to his insane psychological theories and training. a friend and i were just talking about therapists yesterday and she was mentioning how this particular therapist couldnt stretch beyond her narrow view of things or get out of the box she was stuck in. (the therapist, not my friend.)
i'm not fond of psychotherapy and i once seriously considered it as a career. i think there are a few good therapists out there, but it seems it's so easy for people to fall into the narrow traps and then take lots of people with them.
to those of you wanting to follow such a career, make sure you don't lose your heart and soul...that is,don't forget to listen to the voices of intuition and inspiration...and you can be one of the exceptional ones that might actually help people. or you can seek another profession and help people that way. we can be helpful to others even if we aren't in a so-called therapeutic profession.
