today was a stinky day: diesel fumes and gas fumes from the furnace when the guy who came over to clean it relit the pilot light.
noisy: the downstairs dogs had a barkfest this morning, and the truck that caused the diesel fumes was noisy because it was one of those with a hydraulic lift...and i assume the truck needs to be running for it to work,so lots of noise. i think they were replacing the lights on the building, but if so,i don't know why it took them an hour to do it.
air: excellent once the stinky vehicle left and the furnace fixing and cleaning was done.
luck: good. the furnace guy found out the pilot light had gone out because something was broken, and it was excellent that this was discovered and repaired now rather than on some cold night or day when i first use the furnace and would have found out it was not working. he also arrived quite early in the 2-5 perimeter,at 2:30 so when he was done at 3:30 i was able to go out to the library and not be stuck at home any longer.
light: diminishing. tomorrow is mabon, the autumnal equinox. and the days are getting shorter.it gets dark around 6:30. i don't like that.
leaves: just barely starting to turn. i think the foliage is later this year because we had a lot of rain last spring and a fair amount this summer. last year was very dry and the leaves started turning the end of august.
boredom quotient of this entry: fairly high. it's okay, you don't have to pretend it isn't.
