another roadside attraction
it's been a gorgeous day weatherwise. amazing. but now the sun is heading to the horizon,so i should get out for a walk before it's gone.
feeling really blue today,so i had to do the self-medicating thing. first up,a ben and jerry's frozen yogurt. i prefer it to taking a psychiatric drug and the yogurt isnt that fattening, but if i eat that too often both my digestive system and sinuses rebel. no kidding,it does make me feel better mentally.
then i went to the library and got two tom robbins and one henry miller book.both life-affirming. one passage in tom robbins' still life with woodpecker mentions a movie called 'children of paradise' which was made by a frenchman during world war II. i've heard of it before and it sounds wonderful, but i've never seen a copy at the video stores around here. does anyone know anything about it?
i rented 'mystery men' because i like janeane garafolo and 'contact',because i want to see the ending again. i can't remember the details, but i think it was inspiring.
