i didn't know we had monsoons in new hampshire...

but that's what it sounds like outside.sheesh. we're getting a good soaking and it's been much warmer the past two days, which i've enjoyed.

today i had a good dental checkup! yay!

i'm procrastinating. it's close to midnight and i still haven't started my last load of laundry. i just watched a french movie with audrey tatou called he loves me,he loves me not which i thought was going to be a romantic comedy, but it isn't. it was truly disturbing. there were some good things about it,but overall i wouldn't recommend it. on the other hand, last night i watched the fast runner which is an innuit story which is three hours long,is filmed in what seems an amateurish fashion, and doesn't have the best acting...and yet,add it all up and it's a truly astounding movie.even at that length,i didn't want to take a break from watching it.just goes to show that the whole is more than the mere sum of its parts.

damn. i just had a snack and i've got to brush and floss and put that last load in the washing machine...

Cool - I saw the fast runner at the Cable Car in Providence last year. It was haunting in how uncontrived it was. I seem to recall that it was based on a real Innuit myth.

Damn. This just reminded me I have a dentist appointment this afternoon. And I get my flu shot today. Ugh.

I'll have to see if I can find the Audrey Tatou movie. I like being disturbed. Of course I'm distirbed already which may be why I like that sort of thing.

i wish i had acess to some of the movies you find. where do you get them? out local video store doesn't seem too keen on carrying indies.

a monsoon can be a good thing though! after getting just a waft of the hurricane, i found that i'm starting to enjoy wild weather. unless of course i have to drive in it, then it gets a little dicey for me. :o)
