number one with a bullet:pilot light!
the catchy hit single:
my pilot light is relit.
the overexplainer dance mix:
i guess it's something that i can learn how to do myself, but it looks complicated. he walked me through the procedure, which was nice of him. i'm not good with verbal instructions.but i paid attention and wrote it down when he left. i got the impression that he wouldn't charge if it was just relighting the pilot light. if he does,it would be $125 for a service call. won't know for sure until i get a bill. i didn't really want to wait 'tl tomorrow. so if there is a bill,i don't know if my landlord would pay it since it something some people can do for themselves, plus there will be the plumber bill to check my hot water heater. well,i guess i'll deal with that later.
i'm happy i have potential heat. (my furnace isn't running right now. the clothes dryer warmed the place up plus it wasn' t too cold this afternoon.)
i think i handled it all quite well. only freaked out briefly. it's hard to tell if it was my own efforts or the wellbutrin,or a combination of both.

Yes!
fabulous adventure
why thank you!
i know that if i really needed to be there, you would have let me,but i also was glad you were comfortable enough to state your reluctance for various reasons.
i did have in the back of my mind that it could have been fun. maybe we'll do it sometimes under better and more voluntary circumstances...who knows? and yeah,i was envisioning sleeping (or not sleeping as the case may have been) all night with sunny! i know how she attacks and attaches herself to novelty!

(Anonymous) 2003-11-24 03:43 am (UTC)(link)we seem to lose power here in the country due to storms or ice at least once every winter. i have a fireplace so i try to keep that stoked during those times. one winter the power was out a full week due to ice storm and we would go out in my van and turn up the heat to let our bones thaw for awhile. i was also melting buckets of snow so we could flush! :o) sounds like the days of "o pioneer" but believe me, it's all true!
i'm such a girl, i'm afraid of stuff like lighting pilot lights. you did good! at least you're ready if it happens again.
hope it's a good day for you. i have a busy one ahead.
