seeking clarity in dishes and radiohead

at the moment,i'm rather dismayed because i seem to be having trouble getting the glasses i washed clean. i don't use a dishwasher...just wash dishes by hand. maybe it's the dish detergent,because i thought i rinsed enough.
*sigh*

in happier news,i woke up this morning and was amazed to notice some white stuff on the ground outside my window. i had no idea we were going to get snow,but supposedly we had a snow squall or two,which can be wild for a short time and dump some snow on ya.
it looks pretty,but nothing that will be a pain. now,that kind of snowfall i can deal with!

i did a lot of interesting reading this weekend,much of it on lj. you know,you read one person's interesting entry,and then you like someone's comments,so you check out their journal,and you might like a comment on their journal,and you go deeper and deeper. sometimes i overwhelm myself,but mostly it's absorbing and fun.

i also read a few chapters in a very interesting book called everyday apocalypse:the sacred revealed in radiohead,the simpsons and other pop culture icons. i'm reading the chapter on radiohead now,and if i had extra cash,i'd go out and buy their albums because this is piquing my curiousity.

also read a few chapters in a st:ng novel involving 'q'.

so i'd better get ready for work...

I would start with OK Computer. Or something earlier. Personally, Amnesiac is my favorite, but that's me.

Wow, that books sounds really interesting. As a Pop Culture major (for now anyway), I find interest in such spiel-age...

I enjoy pre-Ok Computer Radiohead more myself. Thom Yorke is a jewel. I think he's the reason most people like Radiohead.

i love cultural studies. i'm really enjoying this book. the author teaches english at a christian school,but it must be a fairly liberal denomination,since he listens to radiohead and watches the simpsons. he's mentioned flannery o'connor,who sounds scary but intriguing.

I'm very interested in Flan O'Connor too ;). Hmm... I'm going to add that book to the 'ol amazon.com wishlist. Have you heard of chuck klosterman or douglas coupland? They're both pop cul writers...

just by chance i heard a neat song by radiohead in the music store. one of the guys there loved radiohead but his fellow employees thought it depressing. the reason i know all about this is because i asked about the song as i liked it. :o) i can't remember the name. street spirit maybe or something like that.
i love the white stuff too just so long as it doesn't keep me from driving! or take out my electricy and force me to melt snow so i can flush.
