now

i've been doing daily sitting meditation-also known as zazen, which i think is such a cool word-for a couple of weeks now. i definitely think it's been a good thing for me.

recently,i've started reading the power of now by eckhart tolle, which i've tried to read before, but i couldn't really 'get it'. there's something about my recent exposure to zen ideas, particularly brad warner's hardcore zen, that has made it easier for me to understand this book now. yeah, now.

i just read awonderful interview with the author, which i highly recommend if you are interested. i found it very inspiring. he talks about terrorists-'they know not what they do',he says, quoting jesus.and he explains why. he also interprets the cross as a symbol of 'thy will be done'.

another inspiration for me lately has been vedanta.

I have Power of Now checked out from library, but I'd requested it online, and didn't know I was requesting the large-print version, and it's hard to read, so i haven't started it and probably won't.

The wonder of now.

I can't thank you enough for linking to the interview with Tolle. Fabulous timing for my mind's processes today.
