stranded-thank god i have my desert island discs with me
egads.
it seems my mechanic's garage is bursting at the seams with cars that just got sick of slaving in this cold weather. or something. so he may not get to it until tomorrow,which means i will probably miss a second day of work in a row,the week before i'm due to go on vacation,and with no experienced help in my department. i have visions of the boxes piling up and up and up...i hope no one gets killed.one distributer uses really crappy boxes that tend to collapse,and i've almost gotten seriously injured twice. i've been meaning to call them about it,though i don't know if it would do any good,but i'm too behind on my work almost always.
when i called and talked to one of my bosses,i apologized for the situation,but then added of course that's silly because it's not my fault. bill said that if he thought it was my fault,he'd beat me up. i'm sure he was just trying to make me feel better.
in many ways,i love being home,though not having a car,running out of ben and jerry's and having to walk to the grocery store in the cold is not the ultimate perfect situation. i've really got to cut down on the sugar though anyway.
if astrology made any sense,mercury would be retrograde right now.but it isnt. can't blame things on that,then.
