i don't think you've heard this one before...
well, life isn't totally horrible since morrissey is getting some press these days and putting a new record out. i'm wondering if i like reading the articles more...the music has never been as good as with the smiths, though 'viva hate' was pretty good. oh,and he says he's writing a biography! that should be a blast, because he's such a clever and funny writer.
anyway,he's in gq,and i haven't read that article yet. and also on the cover of spin, which i haven't read yet either. today i read part one of an interview in the 17 april edition of NME.
he's a year younger than me,and he's beginning to look a bit old...but have i looked in the mirror lately? someone described me as having 'grey hair' one day,and i said, wait a minute,i still have some brown hair...and then someone else pipes up that it's black...well,close but not quite; it's dark brown but people have told me they thought i had black hair for years. so anyway, this woman amended her comment and said 'well,i meant salt and pepper.'. well, that's better...not that i'm sensitive or anything...
anyhow, here's a little snippet i scribbled down because it made me laugh...
people always say to me 'you changed my life' and most commonly they say to me 'when i was a teenager, you really helped me through the death of my hamster',or things like that and i just feel a flush of pride because i think it's quite something to help people through their darkest hours.

As for having grey hair--I've had grey *in* my hair since I was 21. Nowadays, it's got about the right amount of grey where, depending on the light, it either looks blonde or looks like it belongs on someone with a much older face. Some random stranger in a grocery store once told me, "It probably bothers you now to have so much white hair at your age, but don't dye it! In a few years, it will look stunning." Hmm... maybe I'll wait.
