pray for your enemies

when we pray for our enemies, we are praying for ourselves, for we are One. our enemies are our hatreds, anger, resentments and bitterness. we must forgive - give up - the anger, resentments, hatreds and fears that we send out into the collective unconscious that then creates these experiences. hatred and violence is divinely outmatched only when we call on the divine through our prayers and 'love our enemies,[bless those who curse us},do good to those who hate us, and pray for those who {insult us and] persecute us...'...until we do we will continue to see acts of terrorism and war. lets' pray that the consciousness of fear, hatred and anger is dissolved by the divine love that is god. let's be an instrument through which the light dissolves the darkness.

when you become a fighter against anything you join forces with that which created the problem in the first place in the form of a counterforce. when mother theresa was asked during the vietnam war, 'will you join our march against war?' she replied, 'no i won't,but if you have a march for peace,i'll be there.' fighting against war is just another war. putting your energy and your attention on what you are for, not giving credence to a power that is other than good or god, results in that all-knowing,all-powerful force disintegrating those illusions.

There is inherent irony in this statement, as it's arguing against something....

I particularly like the second one, and I'm stealing it. ;)
