eureka!

ha! and i thought the language that my parents and grandparents spoke was french. no wonder i don't understand much french! they were actually speaking joual aka quebecois...

and i can understand a lot of that!

french. As in french canadian. as in joual quebecois! So if you need anymore of these, you know where to ask!

do you speak proper french?(as in NOT french canadian, joual,etc..)

aha! Yeah, her french is probably a bit different from mine, as she speaks a lot of english with it and we just use a few words. But that thing about a road, we would say "jouer dans le chemin (pronounce "dans le ch'min")
There is big difference between french here and french in France or Belgium. When I went there, I had to be really carefull how I was speaking so they would understand me, and try and copy their accent! It's sounds sooo different. But I like my not so proper french. It sounds way more relaxed or something!
