i try really hard to be positive and lean towards pronoia.

my car is at the garage because it is making an alarming noise it should not be making,even according to the mechanic i go to,since he went out for a test drive with me. he's got two other cars taken apart right now,and i don't know if he'll get to mine before i'm supposed to leave for work tomorrow. whatever i have to pay,it will be beyond the money i earn.

how about a surprise that i LIKE,universe?

well,maybe it's a good thing. though i'm not going to take the time to try to imagine how right now.

i just borrowed from the library tim o'brien's the things they carried and going after cacciato,which is fiction set in vietnam during the war. that might put things into perspective.

plus i borrowed dale carnegie's how to stop worrying and start living, which sounds corny but it's quite good. perfect day to read it,methinks.
