saint bucky and saint harpo
i'm soooo excited! my personal saint of optimism, buckminster fuller, now has his own postage stamp! i read about it on
darkfader's journal.
in 1967,at expo67 in montreal, the usa pavilion was a huge geodesic dome, which was very awesome. my nine-year-old self was very impressed with it!
is there a postage stamp devoted to my saint of wordless communication, harpo marx? (why is all that silverware
falling out of your sleeve?)

Say, didn't the family have an Alice's Restaurant moment on that trip, and didn't you have the mumps?

uncle norman got arrested-or nearly did,i don't remember which, for illegal garbage dumping. it was convenient that he was a lawyer.
as for me,i came down with the measles during the second of two weeks.i stayed in a dark room on a couch that week, but during the first week i got to see some really neat things. and direct-dial long-distance was a new, practically futurist thing at the time...we called home and talked to michele, who was four, and memere and pepere, who were taking care of her at our house.
and the montreal metro was brand spanking new...and montreal drivers were insane, but then it was dad who was doing the driving too...surprised i lived to tell about it! i'm glad i didn't know anything about driving then. and for some reason,we couldn't find any chocolate ice cream, which,as you can imagine, was pretty upsetting for me.i mean, wtf?
