harvey and elwood p. dowd

i've been spending quite a bit of time lately reading and listening to the abraham-hicks material, and trying out some of the games they suggest.

basically,it is about being happier, which means you enjoy life more, which can only add a good vibration to the world.i've been trying things out and feeling somewhat better, though there are ups and downs. but i seem to overall have a better perspective on things, and i've been surprising myself! basically what i'm doing is teaching my brain some new tricks.

yesterday i had a fun little thing happen to me which i wrote about on the abraham-hicks yahoo group and so i thought i'd share it here too:

one of my all-time favorite movies is 'harvey' starring jimmy stewart. i heartily recommend it...it's a real 'feel-good' movie!

one of the main characters, named elwood p. dowd, says 'I always have a wonderful time wherever I am, whoever I'm with.'

i think he's on to something!

i'm happy to say that i am noticing nice little things...often quite amusing, and
definitely pleasing, that i have been attracting lately.

yesterday at work (i work in a large store),a customer made eye contact, which is not common there. people don't tend to acknowledge the folks who work there. i chalk it up to the sociology of a large store...though of course, things could always change! anyway,he said 'hello, how are you?' and i said 'fine, how are you?' and he replied something on the lines of 'oh,i'm having a great day. i always have a great day, wherever i am,whatever i'm doing'.

what a perfect person for me to bump into...i think he was one of those angels i've encountered from time to time in my life. but of course i would attract such an encounter when i've been focusing on enjoying my life! i thought it was so lovely, and and it made me giggle to myself, because i love the universe's sense of humor.

My main study is Hypnosis/NLP/etc. And the most profound changes are made with pleasure, rather than the usual pain associated with psych in general.

It's a well researched fact that we tend to make better decisions if we put ourselves in a positive state-of-mind before we make them.

Smile.
