You don't know me, but I just wanted to wave and say hello! I did a search the other day looking for other Abraham-Hicks folks on livejournal and your name popped up. I saw your community too. I just wanted to let you know I was lurking, and I hope that's ok! I'm new to AH (not too new to YCYOR stuff though) so I'm enjoying learning from others. :)
lurking is cool. i do a lot of that...how could i not, belonging to so many communities? i do more reading than writing. i love to read and sometimes get inspired to write.
regarding abraham-hicks...i had encountered them years ago,but it just didn't grab me at the time. but now,i've found the ideas to be extremely useful. if you have any questions about certain jargon, just ask, though it doesn't take long once you are reading stuff on the website or whatever to pick up the often-used terms.
how did you stumble upon them, since they have only two fairly obscure books(though a new one is coming out soon) and many have never heard of them? just curious. my path back to them was via ken mclean and his website at http://www.kjmaclean.com he's got some great articles talking about law of attraction from a scientific point of view. very practical and enjoyable. he mentions abraham-hicks,so that's how i found them again.
i adore your lj name. you inspired me to get some dr. seuss books at the library today. i love the whos.
I heard about AH a few years ago. I've been dabbling in the YCYOR stuff and many different authors/teachers since about 1995 but only got really serious about it maybe 3 years ago. I really can't recall how I came to AH, no doubt through another recommendation or websearch. I know that due to years of programming I had a negative bias against anything channeled So I pretty much ignored them until recently when I realized my preconceived notions no longer served me. :)
Thanks for the tip on the yahoo group. I'd already joined recently! Do you post there much? There are so many posts and they're so long, it's hard for me to keep up with it most days. Thank goodness for "daily digest" mode! LOL
Oh, and my boss calls me Cindy Lou Who... When I couldn't come up with a name for my LJ account a year ago, I just picked that and changed the spelling! :)
Hello!
