sorry everybody
dear fellow earthians,
the day after the election, the thought of seceding from this blessed union, either as an individual or with the state of new hampshire, did cross my mind. but the thought of a civil war shut that thought down pretty fast.
you know, though, the united states of canada does have a nice ring to it.
i wouldn't mind living in jesusland if those living in jesusland really did follow the EXAMPLE of jesus. but on the other hand, even though i like jesus but not christianity, there are those who aren't particularly interested in following jesus, and the point is,this country was founded on RELIGIOUS FREEDOM and SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE for the very reason of protecting religious freedoms.but i'm sure you know that.
i'm continuing to stay mostly positive,(though i flip out when my shower drain starts slowing down...it's those little things that make me temporarily sink down to ridiculous and out-of-proportion despair, because i take some things personally, even though that's silly)but i do indulge in being annoyed at times too.
but back to my point, fellow earthlings...
i join with sorryeverybody.com in saying:
The world needs to understand that there are people in America who don't like what our government is doing.
lots of us. and possibly,MOST of us. i personally think the election was hijacked.
whether it will do any good to follow that route and try to prove it is uncertain.i agree with einstein when he says 'you can't fix a problem at the level of the problem'.
and jesus, whether he existed physically or just as a metaphor, said 'resist not evil' and 'turn the other cheek'. he was a pretty powerful being, mythical or not. (and personally,i don't believe he was crucified, but that's a theory i'm working on and it may be wrong...it just doesn't jive with the jesus i see in the gospels, and i don't believe in a god who would make his son pay a price because some of us goof up in big and small ways, nor in a son/sun god who thought he needed to die so others would be forgiven, but that's just my opinion.)
the thing is...instead of fighting corruption and spending time giving energy to all the evil...which is really repressed goodness,we can 'turn the other cheek' and look toward what we want and envision it and take what action we are inspired to,and make something good of this whole thing. and i'm seeing more and more people who are feeling similarly, which is heartening.
meanwhile,i'm humbly looking forward to the day that i keep my equilibrium whether or not my shower drains in seconds or in minutes.

But why do you think the election was hijacked? (I'm looking for your reasons/understanding, not for a bunch of web pointers--I've gotten those already.) I'm really curious!

i'm afraid i have no logical argument about why i believe this. it just seems quite likely to me that it's true.
yeah,so i'm not much help,am i?
