i want to hear 'jingle bell rock'! and i probably will today too,since i'm home and listening to the oldies station which is playing christmas songs.

last week they started playing christmas music where i work and i was annoyed...too early for me! but by this week i'm enjoying it.

i think 'jingle bell rock' is my favorite christmas song,though i also like 'hark the herald angels sing'...i get verklempt over that one,just as i get verklempt over the entire charlie brown christmas cartoon.

and so this is thanksgiving...

i am grateful for many things.just for starters,a hot shower is pretty damned wonderful!

i am grateful that my sister invited me to her house for thanksgiving,and that my family understands why i stay home most thanksgivings. i'm grateful for paid 'downtime' before a busy retail weekend at work,and i get recharged by being home alone.

i'm grateful that christmas is on saturday this year,so i can do something with family on christmas and still have two regular days off afterwards to go grocery-shopping etc etc and chill out. a three day weekend! rare for me.

i'm grateful to feel good enough to be grateful!

and,wow,the sun just came out! i think a nice walk is in order...
