Did you hear that the Vatican has come out with a new low-fat communion wafer? It's called "I can't believe it's not Jesus".
(yeah,but what about the carbs?)
as a lapsed catholic, and more importantly, someone with a very dark sense of humor,i think that's hilarious!
in other news,a strange transformation is happening to me. i now like all those dorky christmas tunes my mother used to listen to on the radio on christmas day, which was just in the background while we attacked the piles under the christmas tree...stuff by tony bennett, and all those loungey folks. i especially like 'santa baby' though i don't know who sings it. madonna did a cover of it not long ago. well,as a matter of fact,in the last couple of years i've started to like frank sinatra and all those easy listening types. it's great, because i still love my rock and roll AND i'm expanding the world of music i enjoy. i am surprised to say that i even like some rap/hip hop (uh,is there a difference?)...that is truly shocking to me.
but very cool.
i haven't heard 'jingle bell rock' yet but i did hear 'rockin' around the christmas tree' by brenda lee and 'the little drummer boy' by the vienna boys choir...that one makes me all teary.
now i'm taking a little rock and roll break before i go back to the radio oldies...

Also, I think the original 'Santa Baby' was done by Marilyn Munroe, though I could be mistaken.
