be love
this was in answer to the question of when to know how long a manifestation should take, from the discussion board at tut.com. i did not have a way to ask for permission to reprint from the author, but i am reprinting it here with all info that i have, since it was in a public forum.

In my opinion, your desire(s) will come to you as soon as you release all doubts.
If your desire is not in front of you in the physical domain, that simply means that you have some doubt remaining -- do you doubt that you deserve it? do you doubt that it exists? do you doubt that you are "doing this stuff right"? etc.
Your job is to focus on the desire, adding as many details (how it feels to have it, how it smells when you are experiencing your desire, what you hear when you are doing what you truly want to do, etc.) and to release your doubts along the way. Doubts will only serve to slow you down.
The key is in believing. The word "believe" is made up of two roots: Be and Lieve.
You know what "be" means, right? You know what it is to "be" something, yes?
"Lieve" comes from the German and Old English and it means "love"
If you believe in your goal, truly and fully believe, you are IN LOVE with your goal.
Do you remember when you were in love? You thought about this person all the time...
how they smelled...
how it felt to hold their hand or kiss their lips...
how they smiled and laughed...
what you did and where you went...
what you'll do and where you'll go the next time you're together, etc.
If it wasn't true love, you thought differently... more suspicious (I wonder who they're with now), more doubting (I wonder how they REALLY feel about me).
When it's love, you just KNOW.
When it's love and you are not together, you think of this person with a feeling of joy-filled expecting. You KNOW you will see them soon -- there are no doubts -- and you KNOW what it will be like when you are together.
THIS is the feeling you are striving for.
Fall in love... all over again.
Namaste
P.S. If you have ever been on a car trip with kids, you have heard them say -- REPEATEDLY -- "Are we there yet? Are we there yet?"
This is the feeling of resistence.
On the car trip, what do smart parents do?
They DISTRACT their kids with games, tapes, movies, stops, etc.
The key is to get the kids to ENJOY THE TRIP, while knowing they they WILL eventually BE THERE.
"Time flies when you're having fun" -- right?
Stop looking for your desires to suddenly show up, asking, "Is it here yet? Is it here yet?"
Instead, have FUN... N O W.

They DISTRACT their kids .......
It does remind me that in all the times that things have seemed to manifest
themselves quickly I was distracted (non-attached) from my desires.
