vacation update...about movies,basically.

man,are we getting socked with snow today. it looks absolutely gorgeous out there. i'm glad i'm on vacation and don't have to drive to work or miss work!

yesterday i watched the first episode of 'babylon 5'. i thought it was pretty good. earlier this week i started watching the british tv series 'the office' and didn't think it was funny at all. i'm in the middle of 'cold mountain' and every time i see jude law i like him more. oh,sure,he's beautiful, but he's a good actor too. he was sooo obnoxious in 'i <3 huckabees'--which i didnt even finish watching,it annoyed me so much.i guess i'm definitely not a wes anderson fan and probably shouldn't bother with even trying to watch 'the royal tennenbaums'. i also disliked 'eternal sunshine of the spotless mind',though the acting was good--i generally feel that jim carrey ruins movies for me,but i thought he was good in that. the acting in 'huckabees' was good too...i just hated the movie.

well, back to 'cold mountain'. pretty good so far. though the character played by renee zellweger is unrealistic and obnoxious and i don't really like nicole kidman. but the historical background and jude law more than make up for that.

after a week of vacation,i'm just STARTING to feel ambitious enough to do any cleaning beyond the basics, and with my clutter and dust,i would be happy if it was cleaner. then i'm back to work next week and the momentum i've built up to clean will be dissapated...on to plan B,i suppose...it must be around here somewhere...

why just today I put all my B5 DVDs into my blue discgear 40 (http://discgear.com/templates/product.asp?GroupGuid=11034&ProductGuid=2200%2D01),
noting with glee that the series, the movies, and Crusade will all fit.

I liked B5, too, but Crusade was my favorite! :-) I also liked Rushmore a lot but not so much interested in The Royal Tennenbaums so go figure.
