(no subject)

did you ever have dreams where you hear a song that you've never heard in 'real life',as far as you can remember? how about a word?

i didn't sleep all that well last night for some reason i don't know (too much chocolate=too much caffeine=awake?). anyhow...

i had this dream where a pregnant scottish terrier 'adopted me',as in followed me home and wouldn't go away. her name was gemara. i made note of that in case it might actually mean something.

i look it up and it turns out that it's the part of the talmud that is commentaries by rabbis......weird.

That was an interesting page at Wikipedia.

Hmm. So what do you think might be in the Talmudic commentaries that would provide you with ideas/productivity (pregnancy)? What do Scottish Terriers indicate to you? (Probably something different than they do for me!) What color was the dog?

I've had dreams with poems and songs in them I didn't recognize; I've also dreamed "past life" things with interesting inventions in them. What a great file cabinet we have between our ears.

as a songwriter, i've often been consumed by songs i've heard in my sleep. often i can never fully remember when i wake to write it down, and then i'm always unsure if maybe maybe it really is a song someone else wrote.

Ah, now wouldn't that be lovely! Inspiration does come from the oddest things. Dreams wouldn't be *that* out there.
