I'm a Pansy. The bloom of thought. Thoughts are my haven. I prefer solitude and quiet places so I can ponder uninterrupted.
What bloom are you? by Polly_Snodgrass

I took the quiz... I'm a Pansy too. I didn't think to copy and paste the html though; I just wanted to see what bloom I was.
I used to work in a flower shop, actually I've worked in a couple different ones. Anyway, I used to want to be a Floral Designer but the dream died when I discovered my lack of talent. LOL
Plus, the last shop I worked in wasn't into actually designing floral pieces using any of the specific elements of design created in the industry. Nope, they were happy just poking flowers in any God-awful arrangement. Blah. So I wasn't even getting the proper training. I would just throw, whatever they would let me do, together trying to make it at least aesthetically pleasing. My Mother worked there too and would try to find time to teach me but we were always both really busy there. She's an award winning Floral Designer.
She won Floral Designer of the year for the State of Arizona two years in a row (2000 & 2001). She's no longer in the industry though; she's a phlebotomist now and loves her work, although she hates her company and the job they make her do. LOL
Oh, yea... got off track a little there. I love flowers! :)

Well, I not only gave up on the dream of being a Floral Designer because of my lack of talent but also because it is grueling work. I mean on a normal day, it's not so bad, but on holidays... yikes. My job was mostly cleaning the flowers, putting them in buckets of water and putting them in the cooler along with tons of other duties... which was hard enough. Buckets of water are really heavy! LOL All the lifting and walking and sweating and aches and pains were enough to make me want to scream. It was also one of the reasons I wanted to work my way up into designing, but I found out that is even more physically exhausting, along with finding out I suck at it of course. LOL
I'd get to help out with some arranging, mostly during the holidays, after I was done with my main duties. Standing in one spot, constantly moving my arms for 18+ hours straight is not my cup of tea. LOL So, I'm not too interested in working in the industry anymore. Planting and tending to my garden at home is about all I do with flowers these days. Speaking of which, it's time to plant now. Yay! :)

I like your idea for your funeral; it's really a beautiful idea. I hope that, many years from now when you do pass, it will happen for you. Maybe you could buy some seed packets later in life and leave those for your loved ones to plant after you die.

Homeopathic medicine is really interesting to me. I haven't actually tried any, but just the idea of it is amazing to me.

I'm doing ok, thanks for asking. I haven't been getting on the comp too much lately. My Mothers ebay addiction is growing and I've been giving up on fighting her for computer time. LOL
I'm saving to get my own computer now, but I'm at least two months away from getting it. I'm going to have to order another line in here too. We have two already, but I don't want to have both tied up when my Mother and I are both on the comp.

Anyway, I'm trying to catch up on my online tasks now; my Mama's taking a nap. LOL.
Have a good day! :)
