Life moves on, whether we act as cowards or heroes. Life has no other discipline to
impose, if we would but realise it, than to accept life unquestioningly.
Everything we shut our eyes to, everything we run away from, everything we deny, denigrate or despise, serves to defeat us in the end.
What seems nasty, painful, evil, can become a source of beauty, joy and strength, if
faced with an open mind. Every moment is a golden one for him who has the vision to
recognise it as such.

That's a GREAT quote! I especially love the Life has no other discipline to
impose, if we would but realise it, than to accept life unquestioningly part. :)

I don't know where I found that quote, but I've had it floating around since I was in highschool, and I don't know whether it's influenced me, or if I've kept it because it's the way I'm inclined anyway. I think it is the case that everything in life has a good side if only we learn to see it, and the goal of my life to date has been learning to see the good side in things.

i've just been learning how to do that recently, and i definitely see its benefits!
