want to talk to a human?
this is excellent! it's a website that lists codes to reach an actual human being when calling certain companies. bravo! and thanks to
courier_iii,who posted it in the fortysomething community.
in other news,it's a snow day! actually,if it hadn't been for the fact that i've been feeling the discomfort of a sinus infection all week and thought it would be good to rest too,i may have ventured out on the road. we are just getting buried! the visibility at present is minimal.i'm happy to be safe and sound at home. more than slippery roads,it's the other drivers that scare me in this kind of weather, and i drive in heavy traffic both ways.
my head is just spinning sitting around the hot stove and reading all the baseball trading news, especially since i'm a red sox fan. for good or not,it's going to be a hugely different team next year. i'm probably lucky in that my favorite player is a utility infielder whose probably going to be with the team next year--alex cora. i have a soft spot for good-fielding infielders, and i think he's underrated defensively. plus,i also greatly favor players who give their all (which is why manny ramirez really annoys me) and it seems that every time you turned around when he was playing, alex would be backing everyone else's play just in case (which is wise,as anything can and does happen in baseball)...always making the effort.
anyway,i don't care about stats too much--i just know who makes the plays that i enjoy watching, and i love a good infield.
and since there's talk,i'd love to have miguel tejada on the team...he loves to play!
if you couldn't tell,i sure do miss baseball!

My absolute favorite player was Johnny Damon, until he was traded to the Yankees, and being a Red Sox fan I, of course, have the obligatory hatred of them. >.< Dang it!
Anyway, just nice to see another Sox fan! Yee. :)

it will be interesting to see how johnny does there. it just seems very strange.
