delectable
your life is like a kaleidoscope.
i was quite enchanted with the fortune i got in my cookie today when i took dad out for an early father's day lunch. i love kaleidoscopes, and have a small collection of them. well, okay,i think i only have two,but i really love looking through them. one of my many hobbies.
on the subject of hobbies, recently i was looking through a fairly new book about hobbies, trying to find something for my dad to get interested in. in my opinion,he has too much time on his hands, keeping an eye on where the neighbors park and worrying about his money. he's not poor and he's not rich,he just is rather preoccupied with money and thinking the government is out to get him. anything that is confusing to him is the government's fault. i'm not even sure he knows he has alzheimer's,which is probably because he DOES have it. but that's another story.
anyhoo, today before i even had a chance to discuss it,the subject of what he does with his time came up,as in me saying 'since you've got plenty of time'. to my surprise, dad was slightly indignant and said 'you don't think i'm busy?' well, obviously,he thinks he is,so i dropped the subject and never mentioned the hobbies. a couple of things that looked interesting to me (actually almost all of them looked interesting to me,but i don't need any more hobbies right now other than learning how to expand time, and i'm playing with that!) were paint-by-numbers and making your own movies. though, really, one thing i'd love to do is have my own talk show. more like ellen than like oprah's...though i guess it would be copying to dance every day like ellen, but i'd copy it anyway. dancing is high on my list of fun things to do! perhaps some day i will choreograph and develop my own brand of a mixture of tai chi/jigging/doing the shiva dance for the geriatric crowd. but that's yet another topic.
i'd love to have a talk show and share all the things i love about life. it's one of my dreams.
i've been inspired to write lately by a combo of jack kerouac's prosepoetry and caffeine. i'd love to take up caffeine consumption again because i almost always end up writing and i like communicating with the world.i don't write much these days and i've just realized it probably is connected to the drastic lowering of my consumption of caffeine in the last few years due to stomach issues. i rarely even consume the small amounts of caffeine in chocolate (which also has the lovely theobromine--food of the gods,i think that means, and indeed it is.) i'm hoping the stomach issues will continue to improve. it was so wonderful today to go out and consume a normal sized meal. it was delicious.

Hee! I can't wait to see this! :D
I'd LOVE to see you write more again! So it's really the lack of caffeine slowing you down? Hmm.. then what's *my* excuse? Ha!
And what a fabulous fortune cookie fortune!
