i say it's my birthday/happy birthday to me
i spent the day trying not to break a sweat. i have nothing against sweating,but i'm allergic to it and my ac is broken. so...i just really really took it easy. i didn't even do my usual sunday chores,like grocery shopping and laundry. doing laundry really heats up the place,which is nice in winter and other chilly days,but not today!
my sisters sara and rachel stopped by with dad. dad gave me a cash gift a few weeks ago,which i used some of to buy reading material,not surprisingly. rachel and sara gave me fun gifts. rachel gave me a bluegreen plastic gnome that lights up! it sure had me giggling--it's the silliest thing. now i will have to take it traveling and take pictures. hee. sara gave me a beautiful translucent red recorder with a book of instructions. a fun thing to play with. i love toys.
i did spend some time cleaning the clutter off my couch so i can sleep there tonight. i just put fresh sheets on my bed and if i'm gonna sleep in this stuffy condo tonight,i don't want sweaty stinky sheets all week. yeah,i know ,probably tmi!
i watched the red sox game and the astros game alternately. both of them won their games. yay!
this evening i've been watching 'roots' which i borrowed from the library. i watched it back when it was first broadcast in the seventies,and have been wanting to re-watch. so far everyone is still on the ship.
and i guess that's it for now. i'm hoping my ac problem is not major and can be fixed tomorrow morning so i can sleep again. i don't expect to get much sleep with the poor air circulation in here,and fans keep me awake too. years ago before i lived in ac (fortunately i didn't have a sweat allergy then,which causes me to experience intolerable itching if it gets warm and humid enough) i basically didn't sleep all summer. not fun. anyhoo...later,dudes!
