ghost in the machine

i got nothing done on my todo list yesterday, but i did go out for two walks. today i really need to get some stuff done. everything nonenjoyable takes enormous amounts of energy. this is what i am going to be working on next with my therapist.

meanwhile,my computer, which i've had for less than a month,is 'talking' to me and telling me i need to do some kind of backup, and then presented me with an astonishing array of options. so i have checked in with my techhelp, also known as my sister, for some suggestions.

i really feel there is a ghost in this machine,'the soul of the new machine',call me crazy if you will. i've always given my car a name, because i feel like i need to establish a good working relationship with it. my car's name is yuniesky, named after a cuban baseball player because i like the sound of the name.

now i need to find a name for my computer. it always takes me hours to find the right name for things. i guess it is a form of animism, that i have also found in hawaiian huna teachings. unless i'm wrong about the last thing.

just like i think the bible is not fact, but is true,so i do think that things have souls. if that makes any sense...

That sounds like a really interesting series. I'm a fan of Bill Moyers.

I haven't seen it, but I remember reading (and it makes sense to me) that myths either have a basis in truth, or a basis in ancient explanations for a time before the scientific method. :)
