feeling peaceful this morning in beautiful downtown mundania. i ate my gala apple,and am thinking about breakfast,but no rush. i'm playing around on the computer,but what is new? i put out some sunflower seeds for my bird friends this morning and the black and white bird with the long sharp bill who looks like a chickadee but i think is slightly different,keeps popping by to pick up a few seeds and fly back to the trees. do birds keep caches for winter? anyway,usually when the sparrows stop by,they just stay and eat for a while.

i'm saddened that steve jobs died at such a young age. i am mostly saddened for the family he left behind. even though he had been ill for quite a while,it is still a shock.

i came across someone on the internet yesterday who wisely asked 'whom are the police protecting from the wall street protestors?' good question. they are attacking greed and lack of compassion for others,not actual persons. because despite the law,corporations are not persons,and neither are banks or wall street.

finally figured out how to replace my smoke detector battery. it was easier than i thought. hurray! one small thing on my todo list done. meanwhile,i am behind on paying my bills. i've been more depressed than usual lately and have gotten even less done. but i'm thinking maybe some sunshine this weekend will help me perk up.
