after a lost weekend in which i mostly slept,i got up early to do something. which didn't end up being much, but i took some trash out and bought groceries and went to the library. i wanted to find something by neil postman, who wrote 'amusing ourselves to death' amongst other things, because i've really been thinking of how using a computer effects my life, and the lives of people in general. well,i'll have to do interlibrary loan for that, but i did find 'against the machine' by lee seigel, whose essays i've read before in magazines and liked.
borrowed a couple of issues of cat fancy so i can dream of someday being able to take care of myself and a cat buddy. also, one of those scholar cds about architecture,a dvd called 'the island president' which is about the maldives, which will probably be below sea level in the not so distant future, and what the people who live there are going to do.
caught up a bit on fringe episodes, but after watching the latest episode and two older episodes,i ended up going to sleep and having nightmares. nightmares aren't rare for me,but that choice of before sleep watching is probably not the wisest. oh,anyway, that was friday.
found some interesting book reviews which evolved into discussions on good reads. i love that stuff. feeds my head.
i was searching around livejournal via interests and it really is rather ghosty, and makes me think i should learn russian. one think i don't like about the new profile page is that you can't read other people's friends pages 'view entries' and i like to do that just for variety sometimes.

Re: "i love that stuff. feeds my head." Yay!! There certainly are aspects of cyberculture that are wonderful, eh?
