dad update

where did the day go?
it took me forever to watch gattaca (which was very good,though for some reason i dont' like ethan hawke,even though i loved him in 'dead poet's society'. how fickle of me) as i kept getting interrupted by mom,phone calls,etc.

so,it turns out that dad has to have a cardiac catheritization on tuesday and if they find too many blockages,they will transfer him to another hospital for bypass surgery. my sister who's a nurse says they may also opt for putting stents in the arteries. my sister,the one who does so much,is planning to have my dad stay at her house overnight as he has to be at the hospital by 6 a.m.

geez,my family isn't very healthy.actually,we are supposed to be such a sophisticated society and yet people in general aren't very healthy and take tons of drugs.

I am sending good wishes that everything goes well for your dad. It's true that so many people are on medication, and so they live longer and it makes us seem like a big healthy nation when actually we are just drugged up. Most people I know take something, from thyroid pills to high blood pressure to whatever!
