nightswimming

i just realized that i've been listening to r.e.m. for 19 years! i feel so ancient! and i can't find my copy of 'lifes rich pageant'...it has my eulogy song on it...'the flowers of guatamala'. oh where o where can it be?

There's only one word in my dictionary for someone who's been listening to REM for 13 years: Too Cool. Okay that's two words.

grrr...sorry. Excitement. And yes that does make you extra cool. I read the post went to the other room, and by the time I came back, the 19 had turned 13 in my head. :)

I've been listening to Blue Oyster Cult and Siouxsie and the Banshees just as long. I don't feel old. I just feel like someone who has had all this time pass in my life.

I too have been listening for that long. I miss their early sound, but I also love their evolution. In many ways their songs seemed to express what i was living, even when no one else seemed to understand me, their songs seemed to.
