bluegreen17 | mom and i go see star wars

i wanted to do a couple of things.
i wanted to do something with my mom while on vacation,and i wanted to go see star wars.i thought i might be able to combine the two. well,maybe...

last week at work i looked through a new england guide to see if there was anything interesting i could do with mom this week. i didn't really find anything.

so yesterday i looked through the local movie listings,and didn't see anything i would want to sit my butt through except for star wars,which i've wanted to see. but i kind of didn't think mom would want to see that. but i asked her anyway. she laughed and said 'no,why don't you ask your sister?' and i said,'well,sure or i can go alone but the point is i wanted to do something with YOU'
mom giggled. she's always been a silly space cadet and all her personality traits are amplified these days.
so i kept trying to figure out something to do. later on i asked her again, so you don't really want to see star wars? can you think of anything we can do together? no.

more puttering around. i had kind of given up thinking of something,but had hoped i would be inspired. i went on to do other things. mom went to the drugstore to get some of her drugs. (she takes seven different ones i think.) she returned. she came over to me as i sat fooling around with my webtv. she giggled and said 'i'll go see star wars with you.'
cowabunga! i guess she really wanted to get out of the house!

so we go to the theater. i can't remember the last time i've gone to the movies,but i do remember the last time that i went to this particular theater and it was to see ewan mcgregor in 'a life less ordinary'! ha ha. that was a funny movie and he was a riot in it,but it was only myself and one other person in the theater that time. so here i am basically going to see star wars because ewan mcgregor is in it,and he has a beard and i love guys with beards and i love ewan and i love the jedi stuff plus i was curious about seeing yoda kick ass,but mostly,i'm there because of ewan. he sold me the ticket.

i'll give my opinion of the movie in the next entry.
