complaint of the hour-just more neurotic rambling

i just got my propane gas bill and it's freaking $88! granted,it was pretty cold last month but it's been cold before,and i dont' remember ever paying more than $58 a month for propane,which is why my budget allotment for propane is $60...i always estimate high so i make sure i can cover my bills. but this kind of blows it out of the water!

i called the propane company just to see if the price has gone up or what...to make sure my equipment wasn't malfunctioning or something. the woman said that both the price and the usage was up and i was about average for the condo units where i live.

but,damn,i always wear a sweater at home and i never allow myself the luxury of being nice and toasty warm...just as long as i'm not freezing-i'm not quite a masochist,just trying to save money.

my mom used to always put the furnace down at night but for some reason i get really cold even under warm blankets and if i'm cold and i can't sleep,but i'll be too tired to get up and put the heat up so i just sleep poorly. so instead of having that happen,i just don't put the furnace down at night.

i turn it off when i go to work,since being in a building,it stays warm enough from the heat from other condos so no pipes would freeze. and i'm away from home 10 and a half hours a day for five days a week...so,geez...

it's just, like,a downer,man.

well,maybe this will motivate me to call in my income tax so i can get my two hundred dollars back. i was looking at a chart that listed average incomes for the town i live in. it's $50,000. i earn $17,000 and i have to pay the entire rent. so it's not my imagination that my life sucks i'm kinda poor. though i suppose it's all relative. i'd be rich someplace and at least i have a roof over my head and heat even if it's expensive. but...sigh...

indulge me. it's very exciting for me. i went to college when (76-80 new hampshire) there were just a handful of folks learning BASIC and computers were hugeass things that had to be kept in a cool room and the printers were these noisy things that printed graphic things line by line! yes,the dark ages.

thank goodness my baby sister was kind enough to go over to the library with me a few years ago and show me how to navigate the net. first,there's that weird spatial thing with the mouse...

anyway,i wish i had money for a computer...i want an imac. but thank goodness for silly ole msntv (formerly webtv) or i couldnt' be terrorizing y'all at all hours of the day or night. heh.

the guy upstairs is stomping away back and forth in his apartment...how can anyone possibly walk so heavily...it's like he's goosestepping...

livejournal is being slow (but i love you anyway) and the freaking phone keeps ringing,no doubt it's phone solicitors,because i rarely answer the phone,and they're not leaving messages but they end up interrupting my intenet connection,which is really annoying since it's taking so long to do things anyway.

i'm not cranky. what makes you say that? i'm NEVER CRANKY DAMMIT!
