for some reason 'you're my favorite waste of time' just popped into my head. i love that phrase...it's the name of a song by marshall crenshaw. so then i got a hankerin' to hear it,but if i still have the two vinyl lps of his,the first one,and 'field day',i'm not sure where they are. 'field day' is my favorite of those first two. great pop stuff,and it sounds great,possibly because it was produced by steve lillywhite,who also produced u2's 'war' as well as 'how to dismantle an atomic bomb'.

ah,i'd say 'whenever you're on my mind' is my favorite crenshaw tune. definitely worth checking out if you like good guitar-pop.

exclusive to lj: the real reason the red sox won the world series this year

this isn't commonly known,but the real reason that the red sox finally won the world series this year is because three of my sisters-michele,rachel and sara-went down to
florida for spring training last march. they've got great mojo,you see. they went to three games,picked some oranges and had a fun time driving around ft. myers.
