what's so unfashionable about peace,love and flowers?

i kept hearing this song on the radio that i liked,and today i found out it was radiohead's 'there there'. i really like the tune,but i really don't want to be listening to negative stuff,because i focus on a lot of negativity already and i'm trying to focus on the positive,not in a head-in-the-sand way,but to lean more in that direction.

is it my imagination or is it hip to be negative? i'm not making fun of people who have legitimate pain and sadness,i'm just observing that it seems to be a trend.

i was listening to my rhino comp 'summer of love' today and it's a stark contrast. the sixties wasn't ALL peace,love,and flowers,but it certainly was prevalent.
